Job Summary: Responsible for retaining and expanding existing company relationships for one or more divisions, product lines, or market segments, and soliciting new business from prospective clients. Provide full-service banking to existing and potential commercial clients and high-net-worth individuals by the marketing of banking services. Offer service to clients, determining needs and providing a connection with the appropriate product areas of the bank to ensure client needs are met. INTRUST Bank banker training will be provided for this position. Successful completion is required. Promotes an environment of teamwork within the department and across the bank. Represents INTRUST Bank in all they do in the community and is focused on the development of new business relationships. Must maintain strict standards of confidentiality and perform duties in a manner supporting INTRUST’s Character Qualities.
Essential Functions:
- All expectations described in the job description’s essential functions are necessary to be successful in this role, performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Serve as a point of contact for key client banking relationships.
- Establish a consistent business development process for calling on existing clients and new client prospecting.
- Source business development opportunities for new and existing clients.
- Represent INTRUST Bank at various civic and community functions to further enhance the bank’s image and develop and maintain a network to facilitate sales efforts.
- Actively participate in bank and client hosted events and other network opportunities.
- Manage a portfolio of both business and personal non-credit clients; and work closely with other departments of the bank to provide a high level of service. Assist Commercial Relationship Managers in handling larger and more complex relationships.
- Report sales and client calling efforts through IRIS, the bank’s customer reporting management system.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years’ experience in financial sales or customer relationship management preferred.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of bank products and services. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. Proficient in use of Microsoft applications, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must be able to work independently and manage oneself and time effectively.
Required Licenses and/or Certifications: Valid Driver’s License.
Physical Demands: Extended period(s) of time viewing personal computer, sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Must be able to hear and speak clearly both face-to-face and over the telephone. The physical demands necessary for this role should be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Working Conditions: Normal office conditions. Some travel required. Calling activities may involve exposure to various weather conditions.
