We're looking for a forward-thinking and experienced Security Manager to take charge of our security program. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in designing, planning, and executing cutting-edge security and access control strategies. As the Security Manager, you'll oversee the Building and Event Security program, harnessing advanced technology to create a safer, more streamlined experience for both fans and employees. Leading a diverse team of full-time and part-time security professionals, you'll collaborate with key event security partners, including law enforcement, fire departments, K9 units, and EMS teams, to ensure the highest level of safety at Intuit Dome.
This is a full-time role based in Inglewood, CA and is eligible for our competitive benefit offering including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan with company contribution, Well-Being Allowance, and more. The scope of this position encompasses a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation with numerous events. Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule including weeknights, weekends, and holidays to cover high profile concerts and NBA games.
What You Will Do
Common Practice :
- Plan, develop, and implement programs to ensure the safety and security of all fans, employees, performers, public officials, executive management, service partners, and clients.
- Provide clear and effective communication to staff and fans during emergency situations. Regularly update and manage facility Emergency Operating Plans, conducting exercises and assessments as needed.
- Develop and execute security strategies to secure building perimeters, parking garages, access points, staff work areas, command centers, and load docks during events.
- Build and maintain proactive relationships with local, city, state, and federal security agencies to ensure seamless event security operations
- Attend weekly meetings to review past and upcoming events.
Event Management :
Collaborate with the promoter's security team to review the event security rider, ensuring all security staff needs are met.Report event security costs to the event operations team, providing both actual and projected costs.Prepare event data sheets for supervisors and communicate specific event requirements with relevant departments.Accurately gather event attendance numbers to ensure proper staffing levels.Oversee security staffing during events, responding to incidents as necessary.Lead the Security Command Center and Event Communications Bridge to manage security operations and execute event details.Coordinate pre-event meetings with security service partners to ensure alignment on security measures.Manage internal and external security investigations, working with law enforcement and providing documentation as needed for legal action.Review and approve incident reports prepared by Security Base Personnel.Collaborate with Team Security, NBA, visiting teams, and show security personnel to ensure coordinated security measures during each event.Ensure timely communication with security service partners, including pre-event meetings and post-event procedures.Collaborate with the Event Manager to ensure the Intuit Dome is fully prepared for event openings and secure after events.Building Management :
Develop and deliver security training for full-time and part-time Building Security Officers, ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements.Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and lead the 24 / 7 Building Security Team.Manage critical security operations, including CCTV, access control, radio communications, and building management systems within the Command Center and Loading Dock.Oversee the security officer touring system, reviewing daily reports and providing feedback to improve operations.Ensure proper security staffing during events and respond to incidents as required.Manage security investigations and collaborate with law enforcement, providing documentation and consultation for legal matters.Coordinate with Team Security, NBA, visiting teams, and show security personnel during load-ins and load-outs.Implement NBA Arena Security Procedures and Guidelines.Develop and manage the annual Security Department budget.Oversee employee identification and access control systems.Conduct operational reviews and recommend updates to security and safety programs, policies, and procedures.Interpret and apply relevant city, state, and federal laws and regulations.Be available 24 / 7 on-call as needed for events and activities at the Intuit Dome.Perform any additional duties as assigned.Your Background, Skills, and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field.Five years direct industry experience in security-related field.Supervisory and management experience with a building security or event-based work force.Possess a thorough knowledge of sports & entertainment venue event planning and related activities.Experience with governmental resources, including police and fire departments, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, FBI and other local, state and federal resources.Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.Thorough knowledge of physical security systems, including CCTV, fire alarm, access control and radio communication systems.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Experience in crisis management, investigation skills, security technology, life safety, risk management, payroll, and scheduling are required.Experience with budgeting and creating event staffing estimates.Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.Knowledge of relevant legal and compliance regulations.Compensation
90,000 - $95,000 annual compensation. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.The role is classified as exempt.Benefits and Perks
