The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs and ensuring that all components meet the required specifications and standards. Duties
- Design and model piping systems and assemblies using SolidWorks with a focus on Routing tools.
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D fabrication drawings.
- Collaborate on projects that require measurements and drawings
- Collaborate with engineers to refine designs based on functional and manufacturing requirements.
- Modify and revise existing designs based on engineering changes or feedback.
- Conduct interference checks, tolerance stack-ups, and basic mechanical calculations.
- Manage file organization, configuration, and version control using PDM systems.
- Ensure all designs meet applicable industry standards and internal quality requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience with designing piping assemblies with the SolidWorks routing feature.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, especially for piping and fluid systems.
- Experience designing custom assemblies for manufacturing or industrial applications.
- Proficient in creating clear, production-ready drawings.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with fluid dynamics, valves, pumps, and instrumentation is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
