Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited College, in the field of Respiratory Therapy.
Training specific to the area of assignment.
California Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
Experience in an acute (routine and critical) respiratory care setting.
Security Clearance Required: No

Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate respiratory function and identify potential issues.
- Perform airway management procedures, including intubation and extubation as necessary.
- Administer respiratory therapies and medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients in critical care settings, ensuring their respiratory needs are met effectively.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team in the management of patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory health and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of care provided.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services.

- Knowledge of hospital medicine practices relevant to respiratory care.

- Knowledgeable in pulmonology principles related to lung health and diseases.
- Solid understanding of physiology and anatomy as it pertains to respiratory function.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in critical care environments.
