Internship Overview :
Intuitive Machines is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Structures and Design team as an intern. As a Loads & Dynamics Intern in the Structures & Analysis Group, you will contribute to the structural integrity and dynamic performance of aerospace systems, including spacecraft, landers, and payloads. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to apply engineering principles, use advanced tools, and collaborate with experienced engineers on cutting-edge projects. This is a full time, paid, summer internship here at our headquarters in Houston Texas. Under the supervision and mentorship of senior engineers you could expect the following :
Key Responsibilities Or Areas of Support
- Support the development of loads and dynamic models to analyze aerospace structures and systems.
- Conduct static, modal, and dynamic analyses using tools such as Siemens Simcenter, Nastran, and related software.
- Develop and refine CAD models in CREO to facilitate structural analysis and testing.
- Assist in performing system-level and component-level simulations to predict responses to launch loads, vibrations, and thermal conditions.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to document analysis results and support engineering decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet structural requirements and mission objectives.
- Support test campaigns, including instrumentation setup and data correlation with analysis models.
