What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Mechanical Engineering Technician position at Intuitive?
Primary Function of Position
The Systems Mechanical Engineering team is responsible for the design and development of highly complex capital equipment for use in surgery. The Mechanical Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting the development evaluation verification and maintenance of new and existing robotic systems. The ideal candidate will thrive in a highenergy focused smallteam environment and be comfortable working with minimal supervision and with minimal work instructions.
Essential Job Duties
- Autonomously manage and prioritize activities both planned and unplanned to ensure maximum system reliability and uptime coordinate with team members on requirements and deadlines for each tasks.
- Maintenance of engineering development systems including troubleshooting repairs upgrades and documentation.
- Build engineering prototypes and tools to support product development and testing activities
- Independently manage all administrative duties that include but are not limited to systems and parts inventory preventative maintenance system configurations parts ordering etc.
- Support of engineering testing and documentation of test results.
- Provide design and assembly feedback to the engineering team.
