Invariant Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Engineer with a strong technical background related to radar system design and development. This position will directly support the Government Program Office overseeing enhancements of an existing radar system.

Duties Include:

• Serve as the radar systems technical SME in support of existing efforts including the design, development, and testing of radar systems.
• Provide technical oversight and direction for a critical radar program to include participation in design reviews, documentation reviews, test planning, and test execution.
• Serve as the radar technical SME for internal R&D efforts to include vetting potential ideas as well as executing strategic R&D programs.
• Serve as a key technical mentor to junior engineers for radar related topics in conjunction with this program and throughout the company.

Requirements:

Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 10 years’ professional experience or equivalent.

• Extensive experience designing and developing radar and other RF systems for DoD applications.
• Experience designing HW, developing BOMs, and procuring equipment related to radar systems.
• Experience serving as a mentor to junior engineers and providing technical direction and oversight.
• Currently have a Secret or Top-Secret Clearance with PR within last 5 years.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for positions requiring a Security Clearance.

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with some or all, of the following:

• Strong understanding of electronic countermeasures (ECM) and counter-countermeasures (ECCM), Noncooperative Target Recognition (NCTR), and wideband radar signal processing.
• Good communication skills, including presentation development and report writing.

• Office, lab, and field, environments.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting for extended periods of time at desk, in telecoms/meetings with peers, management.
• Ability to use stairs or elevators for access between floors and multiple buildings at customer worksites and Invariant facilities during travel.

Equipment And Machines

• Requires ability to operate a personal computer, telephone, printer, copier, and other general office equipment.

Attendance

• Normal workday is from 7:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday.
• Support will be provided as needed during this time frame, but small efforts may be required at any time to support operations.

Other Essential Functions

• Obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.

This position is expected to be performed only in the state of Alabama.
