SQL/PL SQL Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL/PL SQL Developer to join our data engineering and development team. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 8 years of solid experience in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL and PL/SQL scripts and procedures across enterprise systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, and PL/SQL scripts to extract, transform, and load data.
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing queries for performance improvements.
• Collaborate with data architects, BI developers, and business analysts to understand data requirements and deliver efficient solutions.
• Maintain data integrity, consistency, and security standards across environments.
• Develop stored procedures, triggers, functions, and packages as needed.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices in database development.
• Support ETL processes and data migration initiatives.
• Document data processes, logic, and architectural decisions.
  
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• 7 to 8 years of hands-on experience with SQL and PL/SQL or PL/SQL development.
• Strong proficiency in database systems such as Oracle, IBM DB2, or similar platforms.
• Experience working with large datasets and high-performance query optimization.
• Solid understanding of relational database design principles and normalization.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IBM Db2 and PL/SQL (Procedural Language for DQL).
• Exposure to cloud database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or GCP BigQuery).
• Familiarity with data visualization/reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices related to data solutions.
  
  

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
