Growing demand for their services has created new positions for experienced Estimators with expertise in electrical projects preferably with a contractor or supplier.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client empowers estimators to exercise judgement and responsibility for project costing and is critical to the success of the project.. Working with PM's and senior management the estimator analyzes proposals and project requirements to develop accurate costing of labor, material and time to ensure projects can be completed in a profitably yet cost-effectively. They are a crucial component of the team that delivers projects on time and on budget for clients.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Among the key accountabilities of the Estimator are:
- Prepares work to be estimated gathers proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
- Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Produces detailed take-offs
- Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Expertly uses the Accubid system and maintains complete records.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Practical project estimating experience in Electrical Contracting
- Accubid and general software acumen with MS Office
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have the ability to work independently and as a team member
- Strong written and verbal communication skills a must
