Calibration Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize engine calibration parameters to meet performance, emissions, and fuel economy targets.
Conduct dynamometer and vehicle testing to validate calibration strategies under various operating conditions.
Analyze engine and vehicle data to troubleshoot performance issues and improve calibration accuracy.
Collaborate with powertrain, software, and emissions teams to refine engine control algorithms.
Support prototype vehicle testing, data acquisition, and issue resolution during development phases.
Utilize simulation tools, test benches, and on-road testing for real-world calibration validation.
Maintain documentation of calibration changes, test results, and technical reports.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
Strong understanding of internal combustion engine operation, fuel injection systems, and emissions control.
Experience with calibration tools such as ETAS INCA, ATI Vision, or similar.
Hands-on experience with engine dynamometers, vehicle testing, and data acquisition tools.
Familiarity with engine control unit (ECU) strategies and software development processes.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance for emissions and fuel economy standards.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets for calibration refinement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with hybrid or electric powertrain calibration.
Understanding of OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) systems and fault detection.
Previous experience in an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier environment.
