Key Responsibilities:
1. Plant Layout & Design:
- Develop and implement efficient plant layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo).
- Conduct simulations and process optimizations to enhance plant workflow and space utilization.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize material flow, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
2. Process Mapping & Workflow Optimization:
- Perform time studies and process mapping to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Analyze and redesign workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Use Lean tools and methodologies to streamline operations and enhance system performance.
3. Engineering Design & Development:
- Create and analyze detailed schematics for various engineering projects.
- Design and develop engineering solutions using CAD software and other design tools.
- Implement Arduino-based solutions for automation and control systems.
4. Data Acquisition & Analysis:
- Utilize LabView and MATLAB for data acquisition, analysis, and system modeling.
- Conduct experiments and tests to validate designs and prototypes.
- Use simulation software to optimize plant layouts and system performance.
5. Mechanical System Troubleshooting & Optimization:
- Apply mechanical engineering principles to troubleshoot and optimize existing systems.
- Engage in design modifications and system enhancements to ensure operational efficiency.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Technical Documentation:
- Collaborate with team members on system design, integration, and process improvement tasks.
- Draft and maintain technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and user manuals.
- Assist with the implementation of new technologies and systems across plant operations.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in plant layout design, Lean Manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or other CAD software for layout and system design.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies.
- Experience in process mapping, time studies, and workflow optimization.
Preferred:
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher).
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments (e.g., Oil and Gas).
- Familiarity with simulation software for plant layout optimization.
- Experience with LabView for instrumentation and control applications.
- Familiarity with Arduino programming for embedded systems development.
- Knowledge of quantum engineering concepts is a plus.
Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo) for 2D/3D modeling.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles and system design methodologies.
- Experience with LabView for data acquisition and control applications.
- Familiarity with Arduino programming for automation and control systems.
