What the Role Offers - Facilities Technician
The Facilities Technician will conduct daily rounds to monitor process and utility equipment. Oversee remote monitoring systems and respond to alarms and on-demand service calls. Provide engineering support to manufacturing.
What You Need to Succeed
- Troubleshoot process equipment such as Bioreactors, Autoclaves, and Purified Water systems in a GMP environment.
- Conduct Vendor Walk-thrus.
- Perform mechanical and repair work in a clean room environment.
- Schedule Inspections and maintenance activities.
- Maintain Service documentation and work orders within a CMMS.
- Support Quality Assurance by conducting investigations, CAPA, and change controls.
- Participate in Facility Improvement projects, acquire estimates and bids for projects, and create purchase requisitions.
- Maintain General facility upkeep and supervise housekeeping.
- Support and Participate in EHS programs/activities.
- Create concept diagrams and engineering/facility drawings on AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with other departments and work in a cross-functional project environment with good customer service.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering filed.
- Previous experience with a quality management system and CMMS.
Physical Demands:
- Must be present on site for all related responsibilities and be able to routinely perform activities as needed.
- Must be able to sit and stand unassisted for extended periods of time.
- Ability to handle and work with potentially hazardous chemicals per standard operating procedure.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to climb a ladder unassisted.
Mental Demands:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with an attention to detail
- Must maintain high level alertness and acuity for analytical review and processing of documentation, daily.
- Able to work independently with changing priorities.
Working Conditions:
- Onsite position in Redmond or Woodinville, WA. No remote or hybrid work is available for this position.
- Extended periods of time on the computer.
- Extended periods of time on your feet.
- Working in a warm environment wearing sterile gowning.
- Working with chemicals per standard operating procedure.
Estimated Base Salary:
- $64,218 - $73,004 / year DOE
- It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
- The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
