What the Role Offers - Quality Control Analyst Raw Materials
The Quality Control Analyst Raw Materials will be responsible for performing daily Quality Control testing of raw materials, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. Manage material specifications, inventory, and non-conformance activities while collaborating with vendors on testing methodologies. Requires strong communication skills, knowledge of GDP/GLP principles, and the ability to work independently or within a team in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the role involves goal-setting, staying updated on scientific advancements, and effectively prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.
What You Need to Succeed
- Perform daily functions of Quality Control Raw Materials Testing Laboratory.
- Complete and maintain Material Specification Forms for all chemicals and consumables which are a part of the Raw material Testing program.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation according to regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain adequate inventory of materials necessary for all Raw Material Testing activities.
- Initiate any Non-Conformance or Change Control activities as necessary as per established procedures.
- Initiate personal and departmental goals and track progress towards goal completion in a timely manner.
- Perform the daily activities of the Raw Materials Team including sampling, testing and completion of required documentation.
- Establish communication with outside vendors to gather information regarding test methodologies for raw material testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge and practical implementation of GDP and GLP principles is required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative, and goal-oriented environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team setting to complete necessary activities.
- Intellectually contribute to group goals by staying current with scientific literature and state-of-the-art methodology.
- Effectively prioritize tasks to meet goals and drive projects to completion according to timelines.
Required Qualifications:
- The position requires a minimum of a bachelors degree in a scientific discipline such as chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, biology or biotechnology.
Physical Demands:
- Must be present on site for all related responsibilities and be able to routinely perform activities as needed.
- Must be able to sit and stand unassisted for extended periods of time.
- Ability to handle and work with potentially hazardous chemicals per standard operating procedure.
- Working with live microbial cultures which may be potentially hazardous.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Mental Demands:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with an attention to detail.
- Must maintain high level alertness and acuity for analytical review and processing of documentation, daily.
- Able to work independently with changing priorities.
Working Conditions:
- Onsite position in Redmond or Woodinville, WA. No remote or hybrid work is available for this position.
- Extended periods of time on the computer.
- Extended periods of time on your feet.
- Working in warm environment wearing sterile gowning.
- Working with chemicals per standard operating procedure.
Estimated Base Salary:
- $32.00 - $36.54 Hourly DOE
- It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
- The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
