What the Role Offers - Validation Technician I

 

The validation technician plays a critical role in ensuring the qualification and re qualification of equipment used in the manufacture and testing of biologics, drug products, and other pharmaceutical materials. Under the direct supervision of a Validation Engineer, the Validation Technician is responsible for performing validation activities and maintaining accurate validation records for manufacturing equipment, utilities, and processes.


What You Need to Succeed


  • Perform temperature mapping studies, including setup, operation, and data retrieval from Kaye Validators or equivalent data logging systems.
  • Conduct qualification and/or validation of equipment, systems, and utilities in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Review, analyze, and approve documented test results; maintain validation records for ongoing use and future reference.
  • Manage validation documentation throughout the entire validation lifecycle, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of non-conformances related to equipment, utilities, and systems.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to develop and execute validation protocols and reports (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Support validation activities related to facility start-ups, expansions, redesigns, and retrofits.
  • Adhere to GMP guidelines, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for specific tasks and environments

Required Qualifications:


Educational Pre-requisites:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific, Engineering, or Quality-related field is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: temperature mapping, data analysis, equipment/system validation.
  • Hands-on experience with validation equipment such as Kaye Validators, wireless data loggers, or other monitoring devices is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience (minimum 2 years preferred) in a GMP-regulated environment or pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, technical documentation.
  • Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to equipment and process validation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with other software for data analysis is a plus.

Physical Demands:


  • Must be present on site for all related responsibilities and be able to routinely perform activities as needed.
  • Must be able to sit and stand unassisted for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to handle and work with potentially hazardous chemicals per standard operating procedure.
  • Working with live microbial cultures which may be potentially hazardous.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Mental Demands:


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail.
  • Must maintain high level alertness and acuity for analytical review and processing of documentation, daily.
  • Able to work independently with changing priorities.

Working Conditions:


  • Onsite position in Redmond and/or Woodinville, WA. No remote or hybrid work is available for this position.
  • Extended periods of time on the computer.
  • Extended periods of time on your feet.
  • Working in warm environment wearing sterile gowning.
  • Working with chemicals per standard operating procedure.

Estimated Base Salary

 

  • $75,000 - $85,000 Yearly DOE
  • It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
  • The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location.

  • 401(k) program: Inventprise offers both pre-tax 401(k) and post-tax Roth retirement savings plans, letting you decide how you want to save for the future. We also make an employer contribution of 3% of your total earnings each pay period, regardless of whether you contribute.
  • Paid Time Off: Generous PTO, in addition to paid holidays.
