My client is looking for an Estimating and Procurement Specialist to join their growing team in the DG solar industry. As they take on larger projects, they need a dedicated professional to streamline estimating and procurement processes, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating:
- Oversee the estimation process for solar project bids, analyzing cost, scope, and profitability.
- Develop accurate cost estimates, considering materials, labor, and other expenses.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to define project scopes and align cost estimates with technical requirements.
- Conduct risk analysis and refine estimates to account for potential challenges.
Procurement:
- Source materials such as solar panels, racking systems, switchgear panels, and other equipment.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and on-time deliveries.
- Monitor procurement costs to keep projects within budget while maintaining quality.
- Address supply chain issues and source alternatives as needed to prevent project delays.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in estimating and procurement, preferably within the solar or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of solar projects, materials, and costs, particularly in the DG solar sector.
- Detail-oriented with excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with teams to align estimating and procurement with project goals.
- Strong communication skills for vendor negotiations and team coordination.
