WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
5 years or more information technology engineering, design, and support.
Strong mastery of Windows, Mac desktop and server OS variants.
Strong proficiency with firewalls from, but not limited to, Fortinet, SonicWall & WatchGuard.
Proficiency with networking equipment
Very proficient with popular business grade NAS / SAN and storage technologies, such as Synology, QNAP, TrueNAS, Dell.
Proficient with backup applications such as Veeam and Acronis.
Strong mastery of networking technologies and concepts. Including switching, routing, WiFi, VLANs, VPNs.
Very proficient with email and web technologies like Office 365, Google Workspace, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, domains, DNS, DKIM.
Proficiency in cloud hosting technologies by, but not limited to, AWS and MS Azure.
Proficiency with RMM tools such as JumpCloud, Atera, and Ninja RMM.
Proficiency with scripting languages like Power Shell and Python.
Proficient in IT security concepts and implementation.
Proficient in setting up and managing popular security software from, but not limited to, Huntress, Sophos, Microsoft Defender, and Symantec.
Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMWare ESXi, Proxmox, XCP-NG, and Hyper-V.
Familiarity with niche accounting, medical, and engineering software a plus.
Must be able to independently problem solve under stressful situations.
Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
Must be able to manage and coordinate IT projects from start to finish.
Must be willing to self educate on new and emerging technologies in the IT field.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be comfortable interacting with staff and customers at all levels.
Must be willing to learn and understand the customer’s business and business related IT needs and requirements. Including niche professional software.
Work independently but in a team atmosphere & enjoy daily technical challenges.

Proficient with the design and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-performing IT systems and networks.

Ability to follow and enforce our standard set of support policies.
Possess a valid California driver’s license& have reliable transportation.
Our employees visit various clients, on a daily basis throughout our service area. Viable transportation is a must. We do reimburse mileage according to the California standard rates and we also provide a company car for business hour use.
Job Responsibilities :
Install, configure, and maintain server and desktop operating systems, physical and virtual servers, network equipment, and software applications.
Monitor and optimize the performance of IT systems to ensure uptime and reliability.
Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain security and compliance using GPOs, RMM, and scripts.
Implement and manage virtualization platforms, cloud infrastructure, and on-premise hardware.
Configure and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
Design and implement every aspect of a corporate network, from the wired and wireless network, compute, storage, and email.
Work with various vendors and contractors to implement the projects.
Migrate emails from one email solution or provider to another.
Monitor network and server health, addressing issues proactively.
Maintain and regularly test backup and disaster recovery systems.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
Provide Level 2 / 3 technical support for end-users and internal teams.
The ability to work under pressure and interface with senior management will be key to this role.
Documenting all relevant infrastructure adjustments, augmentation, and deployment within the company documentation system.
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional after-hours for maintenance or emergencies.
Comfortable working in both on-site and remote environments.
Ability to participate in team rotational after-hours support.
