Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior FX Trader to join our Atlanta-based Global FIC Trading team, supporting the firm’s global investment centers. The primary responsibility of the role is to ensure best execution of FX products across equity, fixed income, multi-asset, and alternative investment mandates. Additional responsibilities include cultivating relationships with investment teams and the dealer community; enhancing FX workflows and tools; performing market and trade analysis; and relaying market color, market structure changes, and regulatory developments to relevant departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute trade orders for global equity, fixed income, multi-asset, and alternative mandates across FX products.
- Assist portfolio managers in monitoring and analyzing portfolio positions and potential trades.
- Analyze market and execution data to provide value-add transaction cost analysis.
- Work with Invesco’s Systematic Trading team and third-party vendors to develop and enhance FX workflows and tools.
- Maintain awareness of developments in market structure, liquidity, regulations, and trading technology.
- Liaise with operations, risk, compliance, and legal departments to ensure smooth trade execution and settlement, complying with the firm’s compliance framework and ensuring adherence to local regulations.
- Cultivate relationships with counterparties in support of the firm’s access to liquidity and investment idea flow.
- Assist in the automation of and prepare performance related reports.
- Attend meetings, some of which may be after normal business hours, with counterparties and other industry representatives, for the purpose of developing appropriate industry contacts and relationships.
Work Experience:
- At least 1 year of professional experience; additional experience in financial markets desirable
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of programming languages (R or Python) a plus
- Understanding of economic principles and capital markets functions
