About the Role
We are seeking an experienced National Accounts Director to grow our distribution business and be responsible for finding and building new intermediary platform relationships. This position will report to the EVP Sales & Marketing, and serve as the primary resource for key intermediaries such as Wirehouses, Private Banks, Independent Broker-Dealers, RIA aggregators and custodians, as well as other wealth management platforms.

You will participate in departmental strategic planning, including segmentation and relationship management, and support the successful onboarding of new partners and platforms with a thorough understanding of and engagement with key internal and external stakeholders. This requires knowledge of all aspects of the business, including client type, product, pricing, CRM, and compliance. This position requires a strategic thinker and a collaborative hands-on sales leader with a hunter profile and passion for winning new business.


Responsibilities

  • Develop specific strategies to acquire, maintain and enhance key relationships, identify business development opportunities, and foster new relationships
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and execution of the National Accounts strategic business plan for supporting and growing key relationships along with the Head of National Accounts and the EVP Sales & Marketing
  • Support the successful onboarding and training of key partner broker dealer firms
  • Improve product availability and placement across platforms and recommended lists
  • Coordinate with marketing, sales, and operations activities for these accounts with wholesalers and other internal teams
  • Identify marketing and sales opportunities and work closely with other teams across the organization to successfully execute campaigns
  • Represent the firm at selected national and regional Broker-Dealer and industry conferences
  • Manage relationships with management and key decision makers at Broker Dealers, full-service dealerships, and consulting firms in order to increase InvestX AUM within their respective programs within an assigned portfolio
  • Actively contact prospects, initiate Due Diligence Reviews, and influence the development of proposals unique to each market segment for new retail and dealership outreach events and conferences to promote InvestX brand and generate interest in partnering with InvestX
  • Maintain firm level intelligence on industry participants to identify key characteristics of target prospects, prioritize business development opportunities using Salesforce, and leverage other data repositories in use by InvestX
  • Establish and maintain a network in the retail distribution and institutional communities
  • Ensure corporate responsibilities are met, including managing to assigned budget, adhering to all compliance guidelines, use of pre-approved marketing and fund prospectus requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Communications and/or related field preferred; CFA, CAIA, CFP & CIMA a plus or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 7 years experience covering national accounts
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63, clean U4 are required
  • Strong understanding of investment products, services, and distribution partners / investment manager selection and asset allocation process
  • Well-respected and connected within the finance industry, with relationships at wirehouses, private banks, BDs, IBDs, RIA aggregators, RIA custodians, and other wealth management platforms
  • Experience working with other teams including sales, compliance, legal, operations & investments
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills
  • A high level of professionalism and diligence
  • Motivated to achieve success, possesses a strong work ethic, and is a collaborative team member
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong relationship management and client service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional team
  • Ability to work independently while supporting group initiatives
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Eligibility to travel between the US and Canada to attend occasional meetings; ability to travel as needed
  • A Criminal Record Check and Credit Check is required for this position

Salary & Benefits

  • Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, location and qualifications for the role
  • 2025 range is $120,000 - $140,000 USD base, plus a performance-based incentive plan
