What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Investigator position at Investigations?
Duties:
- Conduct video and mobile surveillance.
- Document activities through high-quality video footage and detailed written reports.
- Edit video footage, ensuring date/time stamps are accurately included.
- Write clear, concise, and accurate reports of findings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during surveillance.
- Complete assignments within strict deadlines.
Equipment Requirements:
- Must own professional-grade video equipment capable of editing with date/time stamp functionality.
- Cell phone video is not sufficient.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in video surveillance, mobile surveillance, and video documentation.
- Proficiency in video editing and detailed report writing.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to complete projects independently.
- Highly organized and self-motivated—able to work without constant oversight.
Scheduling & Flexibility:
- Must be available for early morning starts, with on-site arrival at 6 AM.
- Must be available for both weekdays and weekends as needed.
- Work hours vary and are not guaranteed—ideal for individuals with other flexible contract work.
Compensation:
- Local Cases: $25/hr
- Distant Cases: $30/hr (for cases 45 minutes–1.5 hours away)
- Report Writing & Video Editing Bonus: Up to $25 per surveillance day based on report quality.
