Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in multi-cloud environments and deep experience in cloud-to-on-prem networking. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud solutions across AWS, GCP, and Azure while leveraging modern infrastructure tools and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Multi-Cloud Architecture & Implementation:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Optimize cloud resources for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation:
- Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and updates.
Container Orchestration & Service Mesh:
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, AKS) in a production environment.
- Implement and maintain Istio for service mesh capabilities.
- Utilize Karpenter for Kubernetes cluster auto-scaling.
Networking & Security:
- Design and maintain hybrid cloud-to-on-prem networking solutions with a focus on security, performance, and compliance.
- Configure and manage VPCs, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers across cloud and on-prem environments.
Observability & Logging:
- Implement and optimize Elasticsearch for log aggregation and analytics.
- Ensure effective monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting for cloud environments.
Serverless & Application Development Support:
- Develop and manage serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
- Support application teams with infrastructure needs and cloud-native best practices.
Backstage Implementation & Developer Experience:
- Lead the implementation of Backstage to improve developer productivity and service catalog management.
- Establish internal developer portals for self-service infrastructure provisioning.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven expertise in AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS), and Istio.
- Strong background in cloud-to-on-prem networking and security.
- Experience with Karpenter for Kubernetes auto-scaling.
- Familiarity with Backstage implementation for developer experience improvements.
- Proficiency in Elasticsearch for logging and analytics.
- Experience working with serverless architectures, particularly AWS Lambda.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
