Summary :

South Valley Farms is seeking a self-driven and collaborative Systems Administrator to join the IT Support team and provide end users world-class technical support while representing the IT department through resolution of business unit and division-level systems issues. The ideal candidate is successful independently and works as a supportive member of a cohesive team.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide resolutions for tickets submitted using the support systems.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to support requests, calls, emails, and other electronic communications.
  • Properly document and maintain support tickets of incoming requests for service.
  • Ensure end users understand how to use support systems efficiently and submit tickets properly.
  • Analyze performance of support activities and documented resolutions to identify problem areas.
  • Serve as first point of contact between IT department and end users needing to resolve issues.
  • Administer computing systems according to defined IT standards.
  • Keep organized and accurate inventory of computing system components.
  • Direct user IT support plus some higher-level systems and / or process administration requiring independent discretion and judgment.
  • Support a variety of IT projects.
  • Provide front line support for corporate and division applications and systems.
  • Upkeep industry knowledge and development of technical skills through continued education.

Qualifications :

  • Any relevant and recent experience in IT, preferably in a support desk or troubleshooting role.
  • Proficiency in a minimum of two of the following system or processes : O365, Windows OS, IT Asset Management, endpoint mgmt, mobile device management, technical onboarding, equipment inventory management, miscellaneous training
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field (IS, IT, etc).
  • Certifications and / or demonstrated proactive efforts of continued education in IT.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to effectively communicate concepts, using verbal and written skills, to technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Skilled at troubleshooting and following through on issues / tasks.
  • Skilled in research / analysis and systems implementation.
  • Strong peer leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority.
  • Able to work overtime and after-hours to meet deadlines, as needed.
