What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Food Services position at Investments, LLC?
Ground Floor Position for a growing Louisville, KY based operator of Early Education Child Daycare schools; LeafSpring Schools of KY. We are "over-hiring" for this position, knowing the right leader will be eventually overseeing 10 locations regionally, including 4 in Louisville, 2 in Lexington and beyond!

As our Director of Food Services, you’ll oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including:
✔ Meal Preparation & Planning – Ensure all meals and snacks meet nutritional guidelines while keeping up with current food trends for children.
✔ Ordering & Budgeting – Manage inventory and purchasing while maintaining cost-effective food service.
✔ Health & Safety Compliance – Maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen that meets all regulations.
✔ Team Collaboration – Work closely with staff to accommodate dietary needs and create a positive mealtime experience.

Qualifications:
✔ Culinary Background: A degree in Culinary Arts is preferred, but relevant experience in food service or kitchen management is also valued.
✔ Food Safety Certification: ServSafe Certification (or equivalent) required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
✔ Experience: Previous experience in food preparation, meal planning, and kitchen operations, preferably in a childcare, school, or similar setting.
✔ Organizational Skills: Ability to manage inventory, ordering, and budgeting while ensuring efficiency in the kitchen.
✔ Knowledge of Nutrition: Familiarity with child nutrition guidelines and a passion for providing healthy, balanced meals.
✔ Compliance & Safety: Understanding of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and health department requirements.
✔ Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff to support a positive mealtime experience for children.
✔ Passion for Kids: A love for working in an environment that supports the well-being and development of young children.
