Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with owner banks, external lenders, attorneys, builders, and realtors.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and industry best practices.
- Participate in professional real estate and mortgage lending organizations.
- Work with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and business development strategies.
- Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations for agency staff.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals and updates.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting procedures, accounting standards, and file maintenance.
- Monitor and improve operational efficiencies to enhance service delivery.
- Perform underwriting and settlement reviews to maintain compliance.
- Oversee title search processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Supervise settlement operations, including loan closings, document preparation, and compliance.
- Work with financial teams to ensure proper reconciliation of settlement accounts.
- Assist ITMS in budgeting, financial reporting, and financial controls.
- Maintain acceptable accounts receivable totals and monitor pending files.
- Ensure timely turnaround on commitments and final policies.
- Education & Experience: Four-year college degree or equivalent training/experience.
- Industry Background: Real estate, title insurance, mortgage lending, or legal support experience required.
- Leadership Skills: Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience managing teams in a title agency or related field.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business development, budgeting, and financial management.
- Communication & Organization: Exceptional ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple priorities.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in industry software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility: Ability to travel within assigned territory as needed.
