We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Travel Retail Account Manager to join our team. This role requires a blend of sales expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage customer-facing responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, inventory analysis, and reporting, with an emphasis on the cruise line industry being a plus. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening relationships with retail partners, ensuring the smooth operation of accounts, and driving growth in the travel retail sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with travel-retail partners, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Manage and grow accounts, increase sales, and identify new business opportunities in the travel retail sector.
- Inventory Management & Analysis: Analyze inventory levels, track sales trends, and provide regular reports to management. Make data-driven recommendations to optimize inventory, prevent stockouts, and improve sales performance.
- Reporting: Regularly prepare and present sales, inventory, and performance reports. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate findings to internal teams and clients, suggesting actionable improvements.
- Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for retail partners, addressing their needs, resolving issues, and facilitating communication. Provide product knowledge and training to ensure excellent customer service and maximize sales potential.
- Ship Visits: Participate in occasional weekend work for ship visits, ensuring product availability, managing stock, and ensuring optimal product displays onboard cruise ships.
- Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to provide insights and recommendations to drive sales and operational excellence in travel retail accounts.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, account management, or a similar role within the travel retail or cruise line industry. Experience with sales analysis and inventory management is essential.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships with clients and partners effectively.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the cruise line industry and travel retail markets is highly desirable.
- Customer-Facing: Comfortable working in customer-facing roles, providing excellent service, and responding to customer inquiries promptly.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional weekends for ship visits and special events.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience working directly with cruise lines or in the travel-retail sector.
- Proficiency in Excel and sales reporting tools.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
