Pay Rate: $22 - $24 per hour, depending on experience and availability

Job Type: Part-time, Flex/On-Call
Duties:
- Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Protect property and assets by maintaining a visible presence
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and prevent any security breaches
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Conduct security checks of individuals, vehicles, and bags as necessary
- Enforce access control procedures and verify identification of individuals entering or exiting the premises
- Provide assistance to staff and visitors when needed
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven work experience as an unarmed security officer.
- First aid, CPR, and AED certification preferred.

Flex Security Office Responsibilities:
Employment Status and Responsibilities
Flex Security Officers (referred to as "Officers") are employed on an on-call basis with no set hours. Officers may accept or decline any shifts offered. Declining shifts offered within the officer’s documented availability unless they have pre-approved time off may forfeit the officer’s weekly guaranteed availability pay.
Availability
Officers must provide their availability or any changes to their availability on approved availability change request form. Changes to availability must be submitted at least 14 days prior to their effective date. Due to the multi-account nature of the FLEX position all Changes to availability must be approved by a member of Senior Management.
Shift Assignment / Notice
Shifts will be offered based on the availability provided by the Officers. The company will attempt to give as much notice as possible to the officer of available shifts, however due to the nature of the position shot notice may be required. Officers will be given at least 2 hours’ notice of an available shift, if 2 hours’ notice is not provided Officers will be allowed a minimum of 2 hours to report to the site without loss of their guaranteed availability pay.
Compensation
Officers will be compensated at the rate at which they were hired. This enhanced rate acknowledges the flexibility and availability required by the role.
If Officers do not work due to a lack of shift offerings but are available and do not decline any offered shifts, they will receive a guaranteed availability pay of $100 per week.
Overtime Compensation
Overtime Pay:
Officers will be paid at a rate of 1.5 times their regular hourly rate for hours worked beyond 40 hours in a single work week. Compliance with local labor laws regarding overtime will be strictly adhered to.
Overtime Authorization:
Any overtime must be pre-approved by a site director or higher unless in cases of emergency where prior approval cannot be reasonably obtained.
Minimum Shift Length
Any shift that an officer is called to work will have a minimum length of 4 hours. If an officer is sent home before completing the minimum hours, they will still be compensated for the full 4 hours. This provision does not apply if the officer is sent home as part of a for cause disciplinary action.
Cancelation Policy
If a shift which has been accepted by an officer is cancelled less than 24 hours before it is scheduled to begin, the officer will receive compensation for half the hours of the scheduled shift or 2 hours, whichever is greater.
Time Off
Requests for time off must be submitted in writing and approved in advance. Officers should provide as much notice as possible, ideally no less than 14 days in advance.
Officers on approved time off for more than 3 days when they would ordinarily be available, are not eligible for guaranteed availability pay during the period of their absence.
Time Off Requests
Request Procedure: Officers must submit time off requests at least two weeks in advance through a designated digital portal or to a specified supervisor.
Priority and Approval: Time off requests will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis, with considerations for operational needs. Approval or denial of requests will be communicated within 48 hours of submission.
Termination of Agreement
Employment is at will, either party may terminate this agreement without notice. Upon termination, all pending compensations shall be settled during the final pay period.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes regarding availability, shift assignments, or compensation shall be addressed through a formal dispute resolution process involving the Officer and a designated company representative.
