Position Summary
The Senior Director of Learning and Development brings foundational learning solutions that focus on employee experience through core curriculum design, career pathing, on-line learning, etc. Training design, project management and managing third party vendors are key aspects to the role. This leader is responsible for supporting team members from on-boarding, career pathing, and leadership training, particularly as it relates to our business operations and club management. Specifically this role will focus more broadly on the employee experience and end to end related to talent development. The Senior Director partners with leaders to support talent programs to achieve organizational goals while helping team members to learn and grow.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supports the development of workforce and people related strategy that enables Invited’s business and HR strategy, with a heavy focus on employee experience
- Fully optimize Oracle Cloud reporting to drive compliance, completion and adoption of company training programs, as well as measure performance and effectiveness of our training
- Lead “Right Start” program for Invited – focused on minimizing company risk through new hire compliance and training for all key department head roles
- Investigate, select and lead efforts to migrate Invited learning and development towards introductory use of AI capabilities in curriculum design helping to drive efficiency and streamline the department
- Takes a hands-on approach to identify practical training programs that foster career development and growth opportunities, especially for club leaders
- Collaborates with the leaders to develop learning solutions that quickly and efficiently impact business results and drive retention and performance
- Possesses strong working knowledge and understanding of industry and competitor trends to establish benchmarking, best practices, learning certifications, and training strategy that is aligns with industry standards
- Establishes methods of standardizing training implementations, to include communication planning, materials delivery, measuring quality and impact of content, and follow up efforts for on-going effectiveness
- Develops and designs assessments and metrics for training program results, and analyze effectiveness as it relates to business needs and training/business outcomes
- While there is some delivery and facilitation in the role, it is minimal as the role needs to focus on strategy
- Bachelor’s Degree in the training, learning, or organizational development field, or related experience within a heavily operational delivery business environment
- Advanced Degree Preferred, with certification or experience in organizational design/project management
- 7 year’s leadership experience in training, and designing career pathing at an operational level
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory required
- Experience and understanding of how to utilize different learning approaches and implementation
- Demonstrated ability to interpret business needs and translate into targeted training solutions tied to business objectives
- Strong internal and external customer focus
- Strong organizational, analytical and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to interface effectively with all levels of organization
- Experience working with third party vendors and has knowledge of vendors to leverage to help execute standard ‘off-the shelf’ training
- Knowledge and familiarity of training compliance related items, particularly as it relates to hospitality industry
- Experience with hospitality or multi-unit organization, (distributed workforce) is required
