Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct therapy (Articulation, Language, Fluency, Voice, Pragmatics, AAC) to students ages 3‑21 per IEP service grids.
- Conduct evaluations & re‑evaluations using CELF‑5, GFTA‑3, CASL‑2, informal language samples, etc.; draft integrated reports.
- Draft IEP goals, service minutes, and progress notes in EdPlan (training provided).
- Attend eligibility, annual review, and manifestation meetings—virtual participation allowed when feasible.
- Consult with general‑ & special‑education staff to embed communication supports in classrooms.
- Model evidence‑based practices and train paras/families on low‑tech AAC and core‑vocabulary approaches.
- Maintain Medicaid service logs to support district billing.
- Master’s Degree from an ASHA accredited university
- Active Delaware SLP license and DOE Service Personnel Certificate
- ASHA CCC‑SLP required
- Ability to evaluate and diagnose speech, language and cognitive-communication disorders
- Ability to treat speech, language and cognitive-communication disorders in school-aged children
- Personal commitment to driving positive outcomes for students
- Collaborative minded professional with strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work and build strong relationships with parents, teachers and school administrators
- Experience working in schools or with children a plus, but not required
