Job Descripti

onAs In-House General Counsel at Invoice Home, you will serve as the primary legal advisor to the company’s CEO, CTO, and team. Your responsibilities will span across a broad spectrum of legal areas, including, but not limited to, intellectual property (IP), data privacy and security, compliance, trademarks, and commercial contracts. You will directly communicate on legal matters with outside counsel as well as work independently to advise the management tea

m.

  Data Privacy & Security: Ensure compliance with data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and oversee the development and enforcement of privacy policies and data security meas
• ures.Service Agreement Reviews and Negotiations: Review and negotiate a wide range of vendor and contractor service agreeme
• nts.,Immigration & Visas: Work with outside counsel on employee immigration and visa applications and mat
• ters.Compliance & Regulatory: Ensure the company complies with applicable laws and regulations in different jurisdictions, including industry-specific regulat
• ions.Employment Law: Advise on employment-related matters, such as hiring practices, terminations, discrimination, and harassment, and ensure the company is compliant with local, state, and federal labor
• laws.Corporate Law: Ensure Invoice Home is compliant with all mandatory corporate legal filings and regulat
• ions.Trademarks: Provide legal counsel regarding trademark registration, protection, and enforcement. Work closely with marketing and product teams to ensure proper usage of tradem
• arks.State Sales Tax Law: Ensure the company’s adherence to state sales tax laws, regulations, and audits. Provide guidance on nexus issues and multistate tax is
• sues.Criminal Law: Review subpoenas received and work with outside counsel to determine what response and sharing of information is appropr
