What are the responsibilities and job description for the Global Supply Chain Planner position at Invue?
- Collaborate with sales and customer service, reviewing potential orders and communicating/documenting support plan, identifying options, and providing leadtimes to support customer requirements
- Develop ordering, supply plan, and inventory projections that align with InVue goals
- Submit Requisitions to be converted to orders with suppliers (primarily in Asia) and expedite/monitor production and shipments as needed to meet projected or actual demand
- Recommend capacity additions and/or inventory builds based on demand signals
- Review customer orders and react/adjust supply plan accordingly
- Conduct freight analysis and recommend optimum solution balancing cost and service
- Develop expedited production plans: manage, execute, and communicate such plans for large customer orders
- Maintain current targeted ship dates and receipt dates on all Purchase Orders in system and drive vendor OTS performance when expectations are not met
- Communicate (email and video call) with Asia suppliers and team members as needed both during the day and occasionally in the evening
- Participate in, or lead projects that drive improvement within InVue’s processes or systems
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably business
- 3 years procurement experience in conjunction w/supply chain and finished goods or materials management
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Project management skills
- Intermediate Excel and Outlook skills
- Experience working with suppliers in Asia a plus
- AS400 experience a plus
