What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Financial Accountant position at Invue?
The Senior Accountant will be a primary contributor in the finance and accounting department for a multi-entity and global organization amid rapid growth. This role will perform critical accounting activities in the areas of financial reporting & analysis, treasury, statutory reporting and audit/tax oversight. The role will require hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of US GAAP and company practices.
The role is part of a team of professionals who operate in a highly collaborative and action-oriented fashion. The candidate will be an analytical and detail-oriented professional with proven ability to go beyond transactional execution by independently managing and improving assigned workflows.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Primary contributor of month and year end close activities including the preparation of journal entries, accruals, intercompany activity, balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement reviews of all entities globally
- Work directly with the Global Finance Manager to execute and manage the company’s core treasury functions including treasury integration, AP invoice processing and related disbursements, payroll funding, and related journal entries
- Act as primary preparer/point of contact for day-to-day management and PBC fulfillment of annual external audits and oversight of corporate tax return filings for all entities in their local currencies
- Be an active contributor in financial planning activities at the direction of the Global Finance Manager in the areas of cash flow, forecasting & budgeting and ad-hoc reporting
- Assist the Global Finance Manager with the support and execution of the organization’s special project work flows in transfer pricing, lease accounting and customer requested financial reporting.
- Primary administrator of company credit card program
- Understand and comply with the company’s system of internal controls and accounting policies
Improve processes and procedures to adapt to the changes in the business - Eagerness to assume workflow ownership and take projects from start to finish
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Complete understanding of US GAAP and accrual-based accounting with an emphasis on financial statement analysis
- CPA and/or experience in Public Accounting a plus
- 4 years industry experience – preferably with a product, distribution, or manufacturing company
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees and departments
- Prior experience managing external audits and professional service relationships
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional and high growth environment
- Advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
