Job Description
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Pet restraint, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, abilityto take an accurate patient history and communicate historyand client concerns with the doctor, ability to administerSQ vaccinations and medications, knowledge of vaccinations and hospital vaccination protocols, effective communication of treatment plans with clients including.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications
We’re looking for:
- Minimum of two years experience as veterinary assistant.
- Ability to performblood draws.
- Experience in exam rooms, radiographsand associated technical skills are a must.
- Must have a strong knowledge of patient medications, administration.
- Ability to create, monitor, and maintain detailed/accurate patient records.
- Experience using Cornerstone software is preferred.
- Taking initiative to keep the hospital clean and safe especially during down time.
- Must be able to reliably get to work on time.
- Proactive mindset, with a strong ability to anticipate our doctors' needs.
- An ability to effectively educate our clients about their pet’s health.
- Effective Communication Skills are Paramount with clients, doctors and coworkers.
- Ability/Desire to Practice Stress-Free Pet Care.
- Empathy and compassion for our patients and their owners is a must.
Pay Range:Up to $17-$23/hr based on knowledge and experience
