Embedded PowerBI Developer

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Power BI Embedded Developer to design, develop, and integrate Power BI dashboards and reports into web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Power BI Embedded, data visualization, and database management, along with experience in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, or Python for seamless integration. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and an eye for detail to optimize Power BI solutions for performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and embed Power BI dashboards and reports into web or mobile applications using supported frameworks and APIs.
• Manage user access, security, and authentication within Power BI Embedded environments, ensuring compliance with data protection policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI Embedded implementations, ensuring seamless functionality.
• Integrate Power BI solutions with web applications using C#, JavaScript, or Python.
• Optimize Power BI performance, including query tuning and improving report responsiveness.
• Develop and manage SQL Server databases (Cosmos DB is a plus) to support Power BI reports.
• Design and maintain stored procedures, functions, and views for data retrieval and transformation.
• Work with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and other cloud-based services for data integration and pipeline development.
• Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and compliance within the Power BI environment.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
• Utilize Docker and containerized applications for deploying BI solutions when applicable.

Required Skills & Experience

✔ 7 years of experience developing Power BI solutions, with expertise in Power BI Embedded.

✔ Strong programming skills in C#, JavaScript, or Python for application integration.

✔ Expertise in SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, views) - Cosmos DB is a plus.

✔ Advanced knowledge of Power Query (M) and DAX for data modeling and transformations.

✔ Experience working with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and cloud-based BI solutions.

✔ Proficiency in application container services like Docker.

✔ Ability to troubleshoot and optimize Power BI performance for better usability.

✔ Familiarity with data security, access management, and compliance best practices.

✔ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve technical issues.

✔ Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

✅ Experience embedding Power BI into custom applications using .NET frameworks (e.g., Blazor, MVC).

✅ Familiarity with reporting tools like SSRS, Tableau, or Qlik.

✅ Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and BI best practices.

✅ Certifications in Power BI, Azure, or SQL Server are a plus.
