About the Role
As a Data Center Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining the backbone of our client's data center operations. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the seamless operation of high-performance, scalable, and secure networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain robust network solutions within data centers.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Manage VLANs, VPNs, and MPLS networks to ensure secure and efficient communication.
- Monitor network performance and proactively address potential issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integrations and upgrades.
- Implement network security protocols and disaster recovery measures.
- Document network designs, configurations, and processes.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on data center environments.
- Expertise in Cisco, Juniper, or Arista network equipment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and other routing protocols.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with network virtualization (e.g., VMware NSX, SDN).
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
