IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.
Our client is looking for an Oracle Database Administrator. who has a passion for working with application and business intelligence developers. This person should have expert level knowledge of database structures and different schemas to support a variety of services and applications.
This Database Administrator s primary responsibility will be for the Oracle administration and support of our existing Data Warehouse environment. The candidate will need to be well versed in the reverse and forward engineering of data structures. They will be required to write new PLSQL code as well as edit existing scripts. They will be tasked with creating scripts to automate core DBA functions and asked to perform numerous security functions.
As a member of Database Administrator team and part of modernization and upgrade projects, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, managing databases to ensure optimal performances & data integrity, security, and availability in accordance with the client s security policies and business requirements. Work with, database administrators, architects, developers, WebApp support, Operations support, Business Intelligence Infrastructure, and analysts. Soft skills needed: Contribute to a positive and productive work environment, problem solving abilities, effective communication skills and collaborative mindset. Adaptability and a proactive approach to learning and staying updated with the latest database technologies are also essential.
Tasks
- Responsible to ensure that solutions are planned, developed, deployed, and maintained in accordance with the Department of Children and Family s security policies and business requirements for success.
- The DBA will collaborate with development architects, developers, and analysts to implement and validate changes to database schemas and support the Software Development Life Cycles for numerous applications.
NOTE: Candidate must be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role. This position is mostly remote, but candidate must be available to go on-site as/if needed. On call hours may be required.

- 8 years - Experience with supporting Oracle Data Warehouse database schemas including reverse and forward engineering the data structures.
- 4 years - Experience creating and editing PLSQL statements in supporting an application development team.
- 1 year - Experience with supporting application databases hosted on Exadata Oracle version 19c in a multitenant architecture.
- 4 years - Experience writing and supporting Linux & Windows CMD Shell Scripts.
- 8 years - Database Tuning and Maintenance to assure highest level of system availability and performance
- 8 years - Ability to navigate and query relational database (Oracle) to develop reports
