About the Role

IOC Construction is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead our strategic and operational direction, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and scalability. This executive-level role oversees the entire project lifecycle, driving operational excellence, financial performance, and innovation across all service lines.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with deep experience in construction operations, process optimization, and strategic growth. You will work closely with the COO and executive leadership team to implement best practices, optimize workflows, and expand our market presence.

Key Responsibilities

Executive & Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute long-term operational strategies aligned with business goals.
• Lead growth initiatives, including market expansion, business development, and strategic partnerships.
• Collaborate with the COO and executive team on financial forecasting, risk management, and scalability.

Operations & Performance Optimization

• Oversee day-to-day operations across multi-family, commercial, and healthcare construction projects.
• Enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for estimating, project management, and field execution.
• Drive technology adoption, leveraging construction management software to improve efficiency.

Financial & Business Performance

• Own operational P&L, ensuring budgeting, cost control, and margin optimization.
• Analyze financial KPIs, forecasting models, and cost-saving strategies to improve profitability.
• Partner with finance teams on capital expenditures, fleet management, and investment decisions.

Leadership & Organizational Development

• Build and lead a high-performance operational team, ensuring training, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Define and implement a scalable team structure to support long-term growth.

Risk & Compliance Oversight

• Ensure full compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Proactively manage risks to prevent operational disruptions and project delays.

Who You Are: Skills & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred).
• Experience: 10–15 years in executive-level construction operations, leading multi-million-dollar projects and multi-site teams.
• Certifications (Preferred): PMP, CCM, or LEED AP.
• Operational Expertise: Strong knowledge of Lean Construction principles, process optimization, and financial tracking.
• Tech & Financial Acumen: Proficiency in construction management software, data analytics, and P&L oversight.
• Leadership & Strategy: Proven ability to scale operations, manage high-growth environments, and drive executive decision-making.
• Problem-Solving & Risk Management: Strong analytical and risk mitigation skills to handle complex operational challenges.
• Project Execution: Experience managing large-scale projects, ensuring on-time delivery, financial targets, and quality standards.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $150,000 – $195,000 annually
• Performance-Based Bonuses: 10% – 20% of base salary (based on company performance, project completion, and operational efficiency).
