Salary Range : $56,000 to $98,319 annually based on experience and degree (based on faculty salary scale)
'Iolani School
seeks a dedicated Learning Support Specialist to support students in grades 6-12 on issues that affect their learning, with the goal to help students reach their full academic potential. This student-centered educator will provide one-on-one and small-group support, help students develop executive functioning and metacognitive skills, work closely with teachers to implement effective pedagogical strategies and communicate with parents about student progress. The Learning Support Specialist will also play a role in professional development, guiding faculty in differentiated instruction and assessment strategies.
Ideal candidates for this position have:

Strong knowledge of current best practices in literacy and math instruction.

Experience with identification and remediation of learning differences and related accommodations.

Master’s degree in Education, preferably with a focus on Learning Differences, Differentiated Instruction, Neurodiversity and Learning Sciences, Cognitive Science, or a related field.

Three to five years experience in a 7-12 school setting

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
A desire to be an active member of the school community is also a plus. This enthusiastic candidate should be prepared to spend some time during and after school hours working with individual students and participating in 'Iolani activities and events.
