As Chief Information Officer, you will be responsible for:
Reporting to the EVP, Chief Operating Officer, you will provide technology vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the IT program. Lead in planning and implementing systems to support banking operations to achieve cost effective IT operations.
Leading all aspects of Information Security to ensure the safety and soundness of all customer and company data.
Leading the implementation of all company-wide technical projects with a focus on ensuring projects are on time and on budget and provide value to the organization.
Providing management and oversight for effective management vendor services and related functions.
Providing leadership and oversight for the company vendor management program and corporate security systems and functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of IT systems
- Ensure stable and secure operating environment and the highest level of information security with continual focus on new cybersecurity threats.
- Oversee and coach the IT Solutions group and project management for the bank.
- Plan and manage IT, Information Security, Corporate Security, and Vendor Management department’s budget.
- Lead staff to ensure company service standards are continually achieved in areas of responsibility.
- Ensure a strong and effective information security program is in place and is continually updated to protect against the latest cybersecurity threats.
- Ensure technology contracts provide the necessary protections and value for the organization.
- Ensure activities within assigned functional area of responsibility are in compliance with State and Federal regulations including hardcopy document archiving and retention.
Strategic Contributions
- Align strategic direction of technology with that of the Bank and any subsidiaries.
- Provides effective strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the information technology, information security, corporate security systems
- Participate and follow up on Executive and Senior Management meetings
- Problem solving in relation to areas of assignment
- Provide direction for the Strategic Technology Committee and the Strategic Plan of all affiliates
- Act as liaison to Board of Directors
Systems and Methods
- Oversees and evaluates system security
- Designs, implements, and evaluates the systems that support end users in the productive use of computer hardware and software
- Plan, implement, and support systems in multi branched retail banking environment
- Evaluate and implement various sources of support for Bank products and processes
- Consult, design methods, and install operational procedures throughout the holding company
- Produce management reports regularly
- Review and set policies and procedures for technology, information security, corporate security, vendor management functions
- Plan and manage department’s budget
Internal Data Processing
- Oversees the back-office computer operations of the IT systems, including local area networks and wide area networks
- Responsible for the management of multiple information and communication systems and projects, including voice, data, imaging, and office automation
- Oversee the development, testing and maintenance of Business Resumption Contingency Plan for the holding company
- Research and design information systems, evaluate software for efficiency, develop and install procedures, recognize possible problems and provide timely resolutions
- Make decisions about the acquisition and utilization of all hardware and software for the organization
- Design, maintain, and test disaster recovery operations
- Design and implement management reports
Bank Data Processor Coordination
- Provide effective coordination with and liaison to Bank's data processor, perform all communication tasks with data center and ensure timely dissemination of correspondence
- Evaluate software for efficiency, analyze operating methods and process flow
- Responsible for ensuring cost effectiveness, budgeting and approving core provider expenses
Compliance
- Maintain working knowledge of Bank policies and procedures, State and Federal laws and regulations
- Responsible for compliance regulations related to this position and receiving appropriate training including but not limited to:
- Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
- Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
- USA Patriot Act
- All other applicable compliance regulations are identified by subject matter experts and are listed in the master compliance training spreadsheet
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science required.
- Ten years’ experience in bank management and support of banking information systems and IT, direct management of a major IT operation experience preferred, or some comparable combination of education and experience.
