The Roofing Lead leads a residential roofing crew to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to company and customer standards. This role involves managing labor, materials, equipment, and fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and discipline.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and work alongside crew members to install or repair residential roofing systems.
- Customer facing
- Plan and assign daily tasks based on job requirements and crew skills.
- Manage job site safety, conduct audits, and adjust safety plans as needed.
- Maintain job quality and ensure projects meet timelines and budgets.
- Communicate effectively with crew and supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and project progress.
- Strong knowledge of residential roofing materials, tools, and installation techniques.
- Leadership skills to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and ability to enforce safety protocols.
- Physical ability to lift materials and work at heights.
- Proficient in basic technology tools for documentation and communication.
- Daily Safety Meeting - 5-15 min
- Asset management and tracking
Education and Experience:
- 5 years of residential roofing experience.
- Prior leadership experience in a foreman role.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work at great heights.
- Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time.
