About the Role
ION Solar is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer – Team Lead who is not only a highly skilled engineer but also an exceptional leader and communicator. This role requires strong technical expertise alongside the ability to mentor, inspire, and guide a team of developers. You’ll be responsible for driving technical strategy/architecture, ensuring high-quality development, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
This is a hybrid position with a MWF in-office and T/TH remote schedule, giving you the best of both in-person collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a positive and productive engineering culture
- Act as a technical and people leader, ensuring projects are executed effectively and team members are engaged
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to define project requirements and translate business needs into scalable solutions
- Drive best practices in engineering, including system performance, security, and maintainability
- Communicate technical decisions clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
- 5 years of full-stack development experience (7–8 preferred)
- Strong proficiency in at least one or more of the following: Ruby, React, PHP, Angular (equivalent experience with other languages will be considered)
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of developers, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate technical challenges while keeping a team motivated
- Experience with Agile development, Git version control, and cloud-based architectures
- Ability to effectively manage priorities, deadlines, and team workloads
