What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator of CAP position at Iona University?
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Coordinator for the Comprehensive Assistance Program (CAP) to manage all aspects of the admissions process for our program, with a focus on increasing enrollment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating outreach efforts, leading information sessions for prospective students and families, and working closely with the Universitys enrollment management team to drive recruitment strategies. This role demands a highly organized, communicative, and proactive individual with a proven track record of enhancing enrollment for college-age students, particularly through effective marketing, outreach, and relationship-building, both on and off campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire CAP admissions process, ensuring timely communication, accurate record keeping, and a seamless experience for prospective students and their families.
- Collaborate with the Iona University enrollment management team to develop and implement strategies to increase prospective student awareness and drive interest in the program.
- Conduct engaging information sessions and other recruitment events for prospective students and their families, high school counselors and other educational organizations.
- Participate in campus admissions events, including open houses, and recruitment activities to promote awareness of the program and attract qualified candidates.
- Attend local high school events to promote the program
- Create and maintain marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and digital content to promote the program and enhance outreach efforts.
- Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the admissions journey, ensuring prospective students and families feel supported and informed.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of the Summer Transition Program
- Help CAP students create and adjust their semester schedules.
- Assist with other department duties as assigned by the Director and Assistant Director.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Proven experience in admissions, recruitment, or enrollment management, with a strong track record of increasing college-age student enrollment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct engaging presentations and information sessions to diverse audiences.
- Strong experience in social media management, digital marketing, and promoting programs through online platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to build rapport with students, families, and external partners, creating a positive experience for all stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Adobe, a plus
