Announces an opening for the following:
Health Care Aide for the Physical Impaired Otherwise Health Impaired (PIOHI)
Overview of Position: The position involves working directly with students and school personnel to provide student assistance with their physical needs and safety, and provide prompting, academic modification and student support as needed. Assists school personnel with instructional and skill acquisition programming. Must be flexible to the changing of a student’s health and physical needs.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma, or equivalent is required
· Experience and motivation to work with students with disabilities including physical and health impairments
· Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds, bend, twist, move quickly and other physical requirements per the job description
· Willingness to assist students with daily living needs e.g. feeding, toileting
· Ability to work independently and access student needs without direction
· Familiar with technology or willingness to learn
