announces an opening for the following :
Teacher Consultant for Transition-Aged Students Community Based Instruction
Overview of position : This position will service students with cognitive impairments and autism spectrum disorders in the home and throughout the community. Ability to effectively evaluate students’ performance on IEP goals. Will work one on one with students teaching life skills, community awareness, and transitioning from K-12 education to independent living.
Use of district owned vehicle for travel to home and community-based sites.
Qualifications : Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate, with approval by the
Michigan Department of Education as a Teacher Consultant for the
learning disabled, emotionally impaired, or cognitively impaired.
