ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, FIELD OPERATIONS
SUMMARY:
The Associate Director, Field Operations will support our commercial and field teams by assisting with Customer Relationship Management (CRM), field technology, fleet programs, account planning, and operational support. This role involves collaborating with field sales leadership, IT, and key stakeholders to ensure efficient operations within our field teams. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with a strong focus on enhancing the customer experience. This position can be based in Boston, MA, or Carlsbad, CA, with remote work options available.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Support
- Assist in gathering requirements for CRM updates and enhancements.
- Support vendor management and service-level agreement (SLA) compliance in collaboration with IT.
- Help coordinate user testing and collect feedback for CRM improvements.
- Develop and assist in training materials for field teams on CRM usage, ensuring alignment with compliance policies.
Field Technology Assistance
- Support field team leaders in identifying technology requirements.
- Assist IT in the implementation and troubleshooting of field technology solutions.
- Help procure and distribute technology to field teams as needed.
- Create onboarding materials to facilitate effective use of technology by field teams.
Commercial Field Business Planning Support
- Assist in the development and maintenance of call planning tools for field teams.
- Support the organization and logistics of business planning meetings.
- Gather and distribute materials for field meetings, ensuring timely review by stakeholders.
- Document key takeaways and action items post-meetings for distribution to relevant teams.
Field Team Design Support
- Assist in collecting insights and requirements for field team structure and roles.
- Support the development of role descriptions and models to meet business needs.
Incentive Compensation Operations Support
- Aid in the execution of field team incentive compensation plans, ensuring accuracy in data tracking and payout processes.
- Support the creation of reports for field leadership on compensation metrics and insights.
- Act as a point of contact for field teams regarding incentive compensation inquiries.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 12 years of experience in the biopharma industry or related field with a bachelor’s degree; or 8 years of experience with a master’s degree/advanced degree
- Familiarity with field operations, including sales and customer relationship management.
- Basic understanding of field technology and operational support.
- Experience with meeting planning and logistics.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
