Key Responsibilities
Jira Service Management Integration:
- Collaborate with IT and MSP teams to troubleshoot and resolve bugs within the Jira Service Management and Exalate integration, ensuring synchronization of information and efficient issue resolution.
- Design and implement a unified reporting project in Jira Service Management, consolidating data from multiple helpdesk MSP teams to provide a comprehensive view of performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead the integration of multiple helpdesk MSP teams' Jira instances into a single Jira Service Management project, streamlining workflows, enhancing collaboration, and improving the overall customer support experience.
- User Management: Create and manage users and groups, onboard new users, provide support, and manage permissions.
- Project Administration: Create and configure new projects, manage boards (Scrum, Kanban) and workflows, and customize issue types, statuses, and transitions.
- System Maintenance and Configuration: Maintain and upgrade Jira, manage add-ons and plugins, monitor system performance, and ensure system backups.
- Customization and Workflow Optimization: Create custom fields and screens, develop and implement workflows, and support the integration of Jira with other tools.
- Security and Compliance: Enforce data security and compliance policies within Jira and stay up-to-date with Jira best practices.
- Jira Advocacy: Act as a Jira advocate within the organization, promoting its effective use and encouraging adoption of best practices.
- User and Space Management: Create and manage users and groups, create and manage spaces, onboard new users, and provide support.
- Confluence Add-on Support: Provide support for Confluence add-ons (such as Comala) as needed.
- Security and Permissions: Manage permissions and access control within Confluence to ensure data security and confidentiality.

- 3-5 years of experience as a Jira/Confluence administrator.
- Strong understanding of Jira and Confluence administration, including user management, project configuration, workflow customization, and system maintenance.

- Knowledge of scripting languages and APIs for automation purposes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience with deploying, configuring, maintaining, and migrating Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management instances in an enterprise environment
- Proficiency as a Jira Administrator, managing assets, custom fields, projects, workflows, configurations, permissions, automations, and schema
- Experience with JQL, creating and maintaining custom workflows, dashboards, and reports in Jira
- 3-5 years of experience in administering Atlassian products, both cloud and on-prem Familiarity with Atlassian architecture, API, database tables, application logs, and email handlers
- Able to evaluate, test, and configure add-ons
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of issues
- Strong knowledge of Jira Service Management, including request types, forms, queues, SLAs, etc.
- Understanding of business processes and how Atlassian tools can improve them
- Forge/Python scripting experience
- Strong Agile, Scrum, Kanban methodology knowledge
- Atlassian certifications e.g., ACP-100, ACP120 strongly preferred
