In this role, you’ll be tasked with performing essential hardware development duties as a part of the product development team. You’ll be responsible for implementing and consistently maintaining a disciplined and planned set of daily and ad-hoc processes and laboratory activities described below in order to advance our technologies and applications. This is a full-time role located in our Centennial, CO office in a fast-paced startup environment.

- Architecting and leading electronics hardware for battery applications
- Drafting schematics and using PCB CAD layout software
- Interfacing with embedded systems that are a mix of hardware and software
- Outlining, defining and performing engineering tests
- Working with standard EE tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, etc.)
- Writing and maintaining documentation with Atlassian based tools and git version control systems
- Mentoring team members on their portions of the design and improving their skillsets
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or similar field
- 7 years of experience working in a relevant role designing electronic hardware
- Experience with ground up PCBA design, from specification to assembled product
- Proficient in system architecture, circuit design and simulation
- Power electronics or switch mode power supply design experience
- Understanding of embedded systems design and related concepts
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills
- Familiarization with testing methodologies and best practices
- Clear communicator and collaborator with team members
- Experience with digital power control and implementing application specific microcontrollers(TI C2000, STM32 D-power or equivalent product lines)
- Knowledge of battery systems
- Developed embedded system firmware
- Test fixture/jig design for production or test environments
