About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Manager responsible for maintaining and implementing high standards of food safety, legality, and quality, ensuring daily compliance with BRC standards. You will lead the Quality Assurance Department and support New Product Development, working closely with the Technical Manager to uphold and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
Key Responsibilities
- Implement systems and procedures for accurate quality assessment, monitoring, and documentation.
- Maintain and improve the site QMS, including internal audits, HACCP, traceability, specifications, supplier approval, customer complaints, non–conformance, corrective actions, and pest control monitoring.
- Ensure QMS documents are accessible to relevant personnel across the business.
- Ensure production runs meet agreed specifications and standards.
- Address and resolve non–conformance issues.
- Plan and review QA team performance against targets, supporting development and training.
- Train factory staff on BRC and customer–related documentation, maintaining training records.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Publish monthly KPI dashboards for Senior Management, highlighting critical concerns and monitoring trends.
- Report daily activities and concerns to the Technical Manager.
- Oversee micro monitoring and ATP swabbing, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and maintained.
- Collaborate with the Management team to address issues and implement improvements.
- Manage the quality of third–party supplied products.
- Support Shift Supervisors in addressing daily factory issues.
- Maintain and enhance all aspects of the Quality Management System.
- Proven experience in a Quality Manager role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of BRC standards and HACCP principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Detail–oriented with strong problem–solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to work cross–functionally.
- Competitive salary package of GBP45,000 – GBP50,000.
