What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Scientist, Analytical Development position at Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc.?
The Associate Scientist, Analytical Development supports analytical development assay qualification, and GXP early-stage assay development projects. Familiarity with multi-color flow cytometry is required. The scientist possesses an understanding of cancer immunology and the activation of T-cells. This role requires relevant experience in analytical method development and proficient technical training in functional cellular and flow cytometry assays. This position is also responsible for supporting the planning, documentation, execution, and reporting to facilitate the analytical and process development goals.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and performing analytical methods and data analysis of assays, including multi-color flow cytometry.
- Experience with isolation and sorting of individual cell populations is preferred.
- Lead the analytical development of assays involving a variety of protocols and techniques.
- Maintain up-to-date training and knowledge on automation and analytical tools / equipment.
- Analyze and interpret experimental results.
- Organize results for team presentation and discussion.
- Lead write-up of protocols and associated reports.
- Provide support related to data and records management.
- Ensure training is up to date on new processes and analytical methods.
- Compliance and maintenance of lab safety, environment, and quality.
- Perform duties and responsibilities with proficiency and conformance to internal standard operating procedures and international governing procedures and standards.
- Must adhere to Iovance Biotherapeutics’ core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.
- Comply with Safety SOPs, SDS sheets, and laboratory procedures per company policy and OSHA regulations.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
