What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal/Contracts Database Administrator position at Iovance Biotherapeutics Inc?
Overview
As an integral part of the legal function, the Paralegal/Contracts Database Administrator’s responsibilities will focus on supporting the legal team with technical expertise of the contracts management database, as well as assistance in processing contract requests, intellectual property matters and assistance on other legal matters as necessary.
Specific Responsibilities
· Work within the contracts management database to provide assistance to attorneys, including preparation of contracts, such as drafts of CDAs, MSAs, etc.
· Maintain Visitor and Candidate CDAs, including monitoring CDA inbox, obtaining countersignature, update contracts management database and internal Legal Folders.
· Maintain the contracts database including monitoring workflow steps, approvals and status updates.
· Generate contract reports on an as-needed basis, which could include daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
· Monitor users of database, including maintaining active user list.
· Maintain and organize contract documents withing the contracts database.
· Ensure completeness of contract entries.
· Act as a liaison between the business groups and the attorneys.
· Perform various paralegal duties, including organization of legal documents, such as correspondence, legal records and legal filings.
· Monitor inbound legal mailbox and contracts mailbox and assist with sending outbound legal correspondence.
· Assist with litigation management.
· Assist with Iovance’s intellectual property dockets, including oversight of law firms and
completion of common documents needed in patent and trademark matters.
· Assist with other corporate work, as needed.
· Provide Iovance’s internal attorneys with administrative and paralegal support.
· Assist with general office and administrative tasks.
Education and Qualifications
· Paralegal certificate or equivalent professional experience
· 15 years of professional paralegal experience
· Technical experience with various legal databases
· Word processing experience (Microsoft Word, Adobe pdf tools, Excel)
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Specific attention to detail and ability to prioritize
· Ability to work well across multiple internal business groups
· Ability to work well under pressure
