Iowa 80 Group has an opening in the Accounting Department for an Accounting Associate. This individual will be highly accountable for processing accounts payable invoices for multiple companies, providing our managers with the most accurate and timely sales information to manage their profit centers, following procedures to ensure the timely collection of all Company Accounts Receivable, and implementing the Company’s credit policies.
Responsibilities
- Process and pay accounts payable invoices for multiple companies.
- Verify and audit the sales daily of each assigned department.
- Accurate daily posting of accounts receivable invoicing and daily postings of deposits.
- Ensure that cash, credit card, and other payments are paid and properly applied.
- Analyze payments, discounts, coupons, and cash paid-outs.
- Post payments to the Accounts Receivable subsidiary ledger.
- Monitor accounts for past due status, make collection calls, and reconcile accounts.
- Work with the Accounts Receivable department to resolve all accounts on time.
- Process all credit applications by contacting financial institutions for reference and other applicable information.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Iowa 80 Group Assistant Controller and Assistant Treasurer.
- Work with Company Leadership to ensure the success of Iowa 80 Group.
- Associate’s degree in accounting is a plus.
- Accounts Payable experience is a plus.
- Must have excellent mathematical skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft WORD and EXCEL or similar software.
- Well organized and disciplined, but also flexible when appropriate.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to get along with diverse personalities.

This full-time position will be at Iowa 80 Group Headquarters, Walcott, Iowa, home of the World's Largest Truckstop. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
