The Iowa Barnstormers in partnership with Kinetic Edge Physical Therapy are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, Athletic Trainer to join their team for the upcoming 2025 Barnstormers season. The Athletic Trainer will be hired and employed by Kinetic Edge Physical Therapy and serve as the official Iowa Barnstormers Athletic Trainer along with other assignments during the Barnstormers off-season. We currently have a GREAT OPPORTUNITY for a FULL-TIME ATHLETIC TRAINER in Des Moines, Iowa, to help us serve local professional sports organizations and/or high schools in the training room and at athletic events, onsite at local industries, and in the clinic providing pre-employment screening services and rehabilitation care under the supervision of a physical therapist.
Position responsibilities include:
- Covering professional and/or high school athletic events and serving athletes, coaches, and parents with expert care in the athletic training room.
- Performing injury screens for local high school athletes and employees.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
- Assisting in medical fitness, employee screening services, and client care within our outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic.
- Helping Kinetic Edge live out its mission to transform lives and restore hope through movement.

The compensation package will be determined based upon experience, but full-time positions start at $45,000 for new graduates, and bonus opportunities exist that have increased annual pay by 5-20% above base pay.
